Grand Chef Otto fights his way down through haunted cafeterias, alien test kitchens and volcanic bakeries, armed with six kitchen weapons and a rack of seasonings that set enemies sneezing, burning, slipping and shattering. Every run mixes them differently.
About the game
FRY HARD is a top-down action roguelite with a cook's toolkit. Otto starts each run with a kitchen weapon (a throwing knife, a cleaver, a meat tenderizer, a frying pan, a rolling pin or a whisk) and builds up a rack of seasonings as he fights. Coat the weapon in pepper and enemies sneeze themselves silly; cayenne sets them alight; garlic blasts the crowd into the walls; turmeric makes them brittle enough to shatter.
Two coats of the same seasoning on its matching weapon unlock a signature move, like Firestorm, which turns the whisk into a flame-dart minigun, or Home Run, which sends enemies flying off the pan. Mix two different seasonings and they react: Heartburn, Brine Burn, Chain Reaction, Shrapnel Blast and more.
Between fights Otto cooks. Ingredients dropped by the enemies go into recipes at the stove, and each dish is a buff for the rest of the run. Passives, support tools that fire alongside his weapon, and level-up picks round out each build.
Five stages, each run through one of three kitchens, lead down to Chef Coldbloom's frozen domain, past a menu of bosses: Medium Rare, who cooks himself more done as the fight goes on; Peach Pants, an empty pair of trousers with breakdance moves; Shadow Kage and his clones; and many more. Spotless kitchens open a secret Health Inspection. And sometimes the way down drops Otto into the Crawlspaces, a side-scrolling 2D level under the floorboards.

Each with its own attacks and patterns, leading down to Chef Coldbloom.
The Crawlspaces
Sometimes the hatch drops you under the floor into a 2D platforming level, with its own critters and bosses.
Secrets and ranks
Hidden walls, a secret Health Inspection floor, four playable chefs and four kitchen ranks to earn Michelin stars on.
